Horse Racing Refunds

Introduction To Horse Racing Refunds

Horse racing refunds can be a fantastic offer type if you’re looking to enhance your long term Matched Betting profits.

Every Saturday there are a number of horse races shown on ITV. Bookies often run refund offers on these races.

There are also plenty of opportunities on each day of the week too, especially during major events like the Cheltenham festival.

To kick things off, check out the below video to get an introduction to refund offers.

Horse Racing Refund Examples

An example of this type of offer would be a bookmaker offering a £10 cash or a free bet if your horse finishes second.

(These offers can also be referred to as Matched Betting Money Back if X Horse Racing Offers).

We can take advantage of this offer by using our Matched Betting Calculator to back and lay a horse for a small qualifying loss.

If our horse doesn’t finish second we incur only the small loss (usually anything from 0p to 60p per £10 stake). But if our horse does finish second, we get a free bet.

When we get a free bet, we can place a matched bet to extra a profit.

This profit will usually more than cover our small losses and put us in a decent profit.

For example:

  • Race 1: Our horse comes 4th, we are down a qualifying loss of 46p
  • Race 2: Our horse comes last, we are down a qualifying loss of 32p (loss so far: 78p)
  • Race 3: Our horse wins, we are down a qualifying loss of 41p (loss so far: £1.19)
  • Race 4: Our horse hits 2nd place! We get a £10 free bet and then use Matched Betting to extract a £7.86 profit.

Total profit = £7.86 - £1.19 = £6.67

You can see easily from this process that as long as Qualifying Losses are kept to a minimum, over time, this becomes a very profitable way of Matched Betting.

Potential profit strategies like this are certainly something to consider if you are serious about long-term Matched Betting - as these types of offers can contribute a lot to our member's monthly Matched Betting profits.

How To Find Horse Racing Refund Offers

With so many bookies promoting these types of offers it can be difficult to know where to start.

Don't worry!

We do all the hard work to make it is easy for you!

You will find all the best horse racing refund offers that are available every day in the Reload Offers area.

Each offer has a detailed guide showing you exactly how you can complete the offer.

Different Types Of Horse Racing Refund Offers

There are a variety of horse racing refund offers for you to utilise.

All have a similar process but the events that trigger the refund can differ slightly.

Cash Back If Your Horse Comes in a Certain Place (or Places)

These offers are similar to the example above where you get a free bet if your horse finished 2nd. This type of offer is even better as you get cash back rather than a free bet.

The place can be just 2nd, or it can be multiple places, such as 2nd and 3rd, or 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

The number of places offered is usually dictated by the number of horses running in the race.

The simplest way to complete this offer is to just do a normal matched bet on any horse in the race for a small qualifying loss. Then just hope it finishes in the correct position – 2nd or 3rd in this instance.

You then make an instant profit if your horse finishes in the specified position(s).

Free Bet If Our Horse Wins

This type of offer specifies if a certain horse wins, you will get a free bet.

In this example, if we bet on a horse in the race at odds of 4.0+ and it wins, we get a free bet up to £20.

We can complete this by placing a normal £20 matched bet on a horse for a small qualifying loss. Preferably of around £1.50 or under in this instance. Then just hope our horse wins to get a £20 free bet.

These are the most common type of horse racing refund offers.

You will find that some are worth doing more than others.

Again, our team will point out which ones are most profitable for you to focus on each day.

How To Find Horse Racing Refund Bets

Match Catcher is our cutting-edge Matched Betting software designed to help maximise profits from horse racing refunds.

Like the Acca Catcher, access to Match Catcher is available to all Platinum and Diamond members.

Match Catcher can help make you serious profits from horse racing, saving you time and keeping qualifying losses as low as possible.

Instead of searching through odds manually, up-to-date prices are available in one place and the lay stake is included, so a separate Matched Betting Calculator isn't needed.

The Match Catcher allows users to set alerts, so they can be notified when a particular match is found - leaving you free to get on with your day instead of endless trawling and waiting to find a good match.

The key aspect is keeping the qualifying loss to a minimum and to remember it is a long-term strategy.

Over time, it will pay off by doing as many offers as possible.

Please feel free to ask our thousands of members in our Facebook Group who regularly do these offers every week just how profitable they can be!

You will find that there are horse racing refund offers almost every day but more at weekends and during high-profile events such as the Cheltenham Festival or the Grand National.

Match Catcher At Its Best

The Match Catcher really comes into its own during busy horse racing periods.

It's great at weekends when there are a lot of meetings and bookmaker offers and even better during Cheltenham week.

Millions of pounds are bet over the course of the festival and bookies fight tooth and nail for a slice of the action.

This means a vast array of betting offers, including refunds.

This is where the Match Catcher is so useful.

It features near real-time odds on all the qualifying markets and can be filtered by bookie and exchange to suit your preferences.

Users can use the alert feature to be notified when a match is found that fits a given criteria.

How To Use The Match Catcher

Just like the Oddsmatching software, Match Catcher allows users to filter results by bookmaker and exchange, as well as the facility to filter results by other criteria such as race time and market type.

You can filter by minimum and maximum odds and specify a maximum qualifying loss.

You can reset the filters using the 'clear' button at the top of the page.

Market availability shows how much liquidity is available in the exchange market.

The toggle columns dropdown box lets you choose the information you see and this can be particularly useful when using on mobile or tablet.

When you have found a match you like, you can click the links in the software to take you straight to the market for the bet with the bookie or the exchange.

Use 'save events' to monitor a bet in a particular market and 'alerts' to be notified when a match meets your criteria.

This produces an audible and visual alert every time a match is found that meets your criteria - and this also works on mobile.
