Outplayed (Formerly Profit Accumulator) - Donation To Support Young Lives Vs Cancer

On 1st November 2022 Profit Accumulator officially changed name to OUTPLAYED.com.

Profit Accumulator are delighted to be supporting the work of children and young person’s charity: Young Lives Vs Cancer.

On 10th September 2021, Profit Accumulator (now Outplayed) founder, Sam Stoffel, attended ‘A Very British Affair’, the charity’s annual fundraising gala.

At the event, Sam donated £26,000, on behalf of Profit Accumulator, to support the vital work of the charity.

What Do Young Lives Vs Cancer Do?

Young Lives vs Cancer is the UK’s leading charity for children and young people with cancer. They help children, young people (0-25) and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.

Their social workers offer specialist, empowering support to help families face the emotional impact as well as the financial impact of a cancer diagnosis. They do whatever they can to help them face cancer, whether that’s liaising with children’s schools, young people’s universities and parents’ employers, helping families to access financial grants and support or to be that listening ear.

The charity’s ten Homes from Home across the UK provide families with a free place to stay nearby to the child’s hospital. This means families can be together in the toughest of times and avoid the cost of travelling to and from hospital, which can often be miles away from home.

‘A Very British Affair’

On Friday 10th September, Young Lives Vs Cancer hosted their annual gala ‘A Very British Affair’.

On the night, attendees learnt about the pivotal work of the charity. A family shared their story and how they had been aided by the charity, and 5 children performed on the night.

The event included an auction to raise money for the charity's 'Homes From Home'. They have big plans to soon open an 11th home to provide free accommodation and care to even more families facing cancer.

As part of the event, Profit Accumulator donated £26,000 to the charity and in total, over £400,000 was raised over the course of the evening.

Chief Executive at Young Lives vs Cancer, Rachel Kirby-Rider said: “We were blown away by the incredible generosity shown at A Very British Affair this year, which raised over £400,000. This vital fundraising will go on to help so many families across the UK to get the help they need from our social workers and our Homes from Home, which help families stay together at the toughest of times.”
