We encourage members to closely follow our instructions to but also to be aware of the risks associated with traditional betting.

Advice On Responsible Gambling:

Set limits

It’s easy to become immersed when gambling, so set limits on both time and money. Set an alarm to help you keep track of time. Decide how much money you can afford to lose and, when it’s gone, it’s gone. All online bookmakers and casinos allow customers to set deposit and wagering limits and let customers exclude themselves from gaming for set time limits.

Don’t chase losses

Gambling is not a way of making money. Bookmakers and casinos are big businesses for a reason. More often than not, they win and you lose. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Chasing lost money can lead to bigger losses.

Be happy

Gambling should be enjoyable. Never gamble when you’re depressed or upset. Take frequent breaks and keep an eye on the clock. Don’t gamble for long periods. Don’t drink or take drugs when gambling. Good judgement helps keep gambling under control.

Find a balance

Balance your gambling with other things. Don’t allow gambling to become your main form of entertainment. Chose other pastimes.

Talk about it

Don’t be afraid to talk about gambling. If you are keeping your gambling a secret, the chances are it’s because it’s a problem. If you are concerned about your gambling or the activity of someone you know, raise the issue and get advice.
