A sneak peak into the life of the Matched Betting elite – Meet Alun, one of our £100K club members!

We have thousands of members making thousands of pounds of tax-free cash between them every year here at Profit Accumulator.  Of these thousands of members 32 currently represent what we refer to as the 'elite of Matched Betting' as they have hit £100K (or more) in total profits so far during their time with us.

While these members show us all the heights that can be reached with Matched Betting, we'd like to emphasize that others should not expect to make such amounts, they are not typical.

Advice from these members though is of course invaluable...

So, on that note, here's a few useful insights and tips from the most recent member of our forum's £100K Profit Club...

What's your name and where are you from?

My name is Alun. I’m from just outside of Newcastle, England.

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m currently single, no kids, work full time 38hrs a week including all weekends, hobbies are eating food and making money, I also grow some plants, do quizzes and love cars and redheads, Healthy obsession with chicken wings, became a pretty good chef during lockdown. 😁 insta is alun_eats if anyone wants to check it out.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

I think I joined about April 2016. Just over 4 years ago

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I worked with a guy called Max, a great guy, he always had his hands into all sorts of pies, so when he told me about matched betting I thought it was just another scam, it took him 2 months to convince me... I should have listened to him sooner.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

I had only really bet on the Grand National, a few quid at most, I knew nothing about sport as I’ve always found it boring. I still know only enough to get by.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I’ve got a good head for numbers, so found it mostly easy, liability took me a while to get my head around as did some offers, but persistence and reading pays off.

The forum is the key, so many great posts to read and learn from.

It sometimes feels like we’re robbing the bookies it’s that easy now.

Can you remember what your starting bankroll (or cash float) was?

I used £100 for the first 2 free offers, immediately saw the value and pumped another £1K in.

How much money have you made so far?

About a week before I wrote this I had hit a milestone - £100k profit.

Never in my imagination would I think I could make that sort of cash doing this. It’s mind blowing, and for me life changing as I can now afford to do whatever I want (within reason).

4 years in and offers change constantly but making more cash now than I ever was.

Have you bought anything nice with your profits? Or are you saving up for something special?

I didn’t spend a penny until I had a £20k bank, the last couple of years however I’ve started to spend profits, mortgage is now paid off and I’ve got several cars on the drive. The biggest thing for me is now being able to afford to go out and enjoy myself more. See friends and eat chicken wings.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

I’m not sure they all understand it, but they know what I do. Not sure any of them know how much I’ve made, or would believe it if I told them.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

For the first year I tracked everything on a spreadsheet I made, I then sacked that off and just make notes on my iphone, takes less time and I really don’t need to know much other than profit. Takes seconds to update my note after I’ve done an offer.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

I matched bet every day, difficult to put a number of hours on it. I’d say if I’m not sleeping, working, eating, I’m either matched betting, on the forums hanging out in the EP thread or texting my friends with offers/banter/reminders not to overfeed their cats.

I’m lucky not to be tied down or with kids so have lots of time, a massive respect to all the hard working dads out there, I probably wouldn’t have made as much if I had my hands full of other things.

If I do split my day, it’s normally sports during the day the casino at night while watching clerks for the millionth time.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

Currently I make most of my cash off extra places and low/med casino. But I try to get on every offer I can, my fav all time offer was probably Betfair edge.. sadly it’s dead now. But still stacks of cash to make elsewhere, my average month is 2-3k profit. Don’t normally make less than that. About 1/3 of that is normally casino profit.

DDHH has also been good to me over the years too. I had my first 2k day due to that offer.

My biggest tip here is to not underestimate the small offers, yes we all love a huge boom, but all those small offers add up.

How have you found PA’s services so far? What aspects of the PA site do you like the most?

The forums are by far the best aspect of PA. There’s a ton of knowledge in there if you go look for it. In the early days the ongoing football thread was a massive help to me, I wouldn’t have known about DDHH if it wasn’t for JD avfc’s posts in there.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Start as quick as you can, it sounds like a scam but seriously isn’t. There’s a stack of cash waiting to be made.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

Be open minded, read and learn. Do an internet search there’s a ton on info on it. Try the first 2 offers and you won’t look back.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Read and learn, the info is all out there, be active on the forums, but not a pain in the ass, be helpful and friendly and people will help you.

Be organised, I make lists daily with the offers I’m going to do, I then tick off my list as the day goes on. Don’t target yourself money, just target to get your list completed.

Before you post, look for the answer, I can guarantee whatever question you have, it’ll already be answered somewhere.

Do not spend your bank until it’s a decent size, the more money you have the more you will make.

What advice and tips would you give to a PA member who’s just about to start doing reload offers?

Pretty much the same as the newbie advice.. read and learn then read and learn more.
