What's your name and where are you from?

I’m Alice and I’m from Sheffield!

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I work part time as an Accountant, I’m married to a Farmer with 4 children, 4 mini dachshunds, lots of sheep and a cat.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

I’ve been a member of PA since July 2019.

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I came across matched betting on a blog of a lady listing extra income to try when you’re on maternity leave.

I like numbers and thought something like that would keep my brain ticking over whilst I was myself on maternity so I looked into it further, came across PA and signed up to the trial pretty much straight away.

I figured for the small amount of money needed to get going it was worth a shot even if it sounded too good to be true!

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

Only the odd flutter on the horses at the races or on the Grand National. I don’t follow any sport but understand the concept of most things. Not rugby though, I don’t understand that one bit!

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I found it pretty straightforward to learn matched betting, I’m very much a learn by doing type of person so I need to properly get stuck in to understand the methodology, especially on the more complex strategies.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

I think it was about £50, £10 for Coral and £40 in Betfair.

How much profit have you made so far?

I’ve just hit the £10k mark in February!

Have you bought anything nice with your profit? Or are you saving up for something special?

I took a year out whilst we were in and out of lockdowns so the first half of the profits were spent on building a flock of sheep that our boys looked after during the pandemic.

Since I started back up last summer any profits are being put towards a deposit for our own farm.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

It’s a mixed bag, some friends and family understand it, my husband loves it!

Others look at me like I’m trying to justify a gambling habit!! I don’t know anyone else personally that has tried it and stuck with it.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I keep a rough spreadsheet of the balances in my accounts and then my deposits and withdrawals over the month. I’d love to track a lot more but I do 90% of my matched betting from my phone and never get around to documenting what I’ve done.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your offers?

I usually get my casino offers out the way first thing in the morning along with any horse refunds and then pick up bits and bobs off the catapush app throughout the day. I only spend any length of time match betting on a weekend when there’s lots of stuff going on and I try to get on some extra places. Unless there’s a festival on I probably spend no more than 7 hours a week doing it.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

My favourite offers are the horse refunds, it’s only very recently that I’ve lost the ability to do them so I’m moving onto the Extra Places. They’ve been the best earners for me throughout but price boosts and the random bet & gets are also great.

I mostly stick to sports offers but I have a few regular low/medium casino offers that I routinely do, my casino experience seems to keep me very close to the EV line, my biggest win to date is about £200.

How have you found PA's services so far? What are your favourite features?

PA makes organising matched betting very straight forward. I very rarely use the website unless I’m on the extra place catcher but the catapush for offer notifications and the Facebook Group are the absolute life lines for me.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Give it a go and at the very least bag yourself £500+ from the signups, it’s tax FREE!

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

Matched betting is the exception to the rule that something is too good to be true. It really is that good!

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Don’t try and do everything from the get go. As time goes on you will learn to adapt your strategy to the different methods available.

Don’t get disheartened when the gubbings come, if anything use it as motivation to keep taking value no matter how little from the big bad bookmakers.

What advice and tips would you give to a PA member who’s just about to start doing reload offers?

A lot of matched betting reloads is based on probability, keep focused on the long term aims, not the short term outcomes.
