Profit Accumulator member Louise from North Yorkshire shares her matched betting experience.

Tell us about your family.

I've been married to my husband for two years and we don't have any children.

What is your job and how do you find juggling matched betting with work?

I work full-time as a manager at an events and consultancy company. I find the juggling fine as I think of matched betting as a hobby, which I do during the evenings and on a weekend.

How long have you been a member of PA?

I've been a member since about October 2016 but I only really started matched betting properly at the beginning of 2017.

How did you hear about matched betting and were you sceptical about starting?

I've been aware of matched betting for years, but I've never been sceptical as once you read about how it works then it absolutely makes sense. The only reason it took me so long to get started was my own laziness!

How much time do you spend on matched betting each week?

Tricky to say as it varies - on average about four hours on a weekend and a couple of hours during the week. Some of the more time-consuming offers (like slots ones with lots of wagering) are included in that. The ones that just include normal betting/laying don't take me long now.

What would your advice be to anyone thinking about starting matched betting?

Spend several hours reading about it and making sure you understand the basics. Then just get on with it, unless you don't like money. Then don't bother.

Why does matched betting appeal to you?

Well originally it was just because I wanted to make money, but actually I really enjoy it now. I've got more into following sports since I started too and, for the first time in my life, I'm actually gutted that the football season over. I also massively enjoy playing online bingo and slots.

What do you do with the profit you make?

I had a bit of a spending spree at first , and made several ASOS orders and things like that. Now I'm saving it all, eventually to buy a house with. Although my husband and I have other savings from our jobs, I'm confident that if I had to save for a house purely through matched betting then I definitely could.

Are there any aspects of Profit Accumulator you particularly like?

I love the forum - even if I don't always contribute then it's good to read other people's thoughts. Also I love the new Profit Tracker - for me it's made keeping track of what I'm earning much more easily. It's also very motivational for hitting goals.
