What's your name and where are you from?

John from Stafford

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 43 and I’ve been happily married for 18 years now. I work in education full time and have 4 kids – all boys. We are a football mad family and have season tickets for Liverpool.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

I’ve been a member for just over a year now (I joined in April 2020)

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I had started using sign up offers to make a bit of guaranteed profit for myself and was just working them out for myself, so when I stumbled upon a subscription service that did all the hard work for you at the click of a mouse it was a no-brainer. However at this point I was only focusing on the free bets through sign ups. Therefore when I realised the money you could make from re-loads, boosts etc. I knew I was onto a winner.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

Yes, I was a regular bettor on Football accumulators and would bet on big horse races. I’ve also been to a number of horse race courses over the years.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

In all fairness (and without sounding arrogant), I did find it relatively straight forward, however I am from a Maths background and in truth, with many of the reloads, it is all about probability. Statistics are scarily consistent and if you tip the probability scale in your favour then over a period of time you will always win.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

About £150

How much profit have you made so far?

I’m closing in on £10,000 (currently £9600!!)

Have you bought anything nice? Or are you saving up for something special?

Saving up – I don’t actually withdraw any money from any bookies and I only withdraw from Smarkets if I need to top up another account.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

No – but I am a fairly private guy and don’t really discuss it with friends. My family kind of understand some of the simpler techniques. They just say as long as we get our luxury Ski Holiday they don’t care!!

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I stopped tracking about 6 months ago and it’s the best thing I did. I just total up the balance in each bookie (and I only really use 6 or 7) each week and as long as it keeps increasing then I’m happy.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

I spend about 30 – 60 minutes each day and then may be an hour a day at the weekend. I do it on my phone and have got it nailed in terms of quickly backing and laying bets.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

I have a consistent routine of Betfair daily offers, the Betfair odds boosts, coral BBL, Bet 365 4/1 and bore draws. I also do the 888 offers, sky reward club, sporting index bad beat special and I do dabble in the odd 2 up. I also just back and lay horses with all these bookies and make a fair bit from BOG’s doing this.

How have you found PA's services so far? What aspects do you like the most?

The main thing I use on the site is the oddsmatcher and the calculators – these are worth the subscription money alone. I also follow the facebook group and get a fair bit of advice from there.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Take it slowly, master one bet type, get it nailed so it’s second nature and then move on. Do not chase every offer as it will just stress you out. Stick to a handful of bookies and personally I just stick to football and racing. Once you start chasing random sports offer on things that you don’t normally bet on you will lose the account quickly.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

I’d say just do your research and check out the reviews and comments on sites like facebook and trust pilot.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

I say it’s not a get rich quick scheme, it’s a get better off slowly one. It’s not magic, you do have to spend time mastering the idea of matched betting but once you have, the rewards will be worth it (like any job).

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who's just about to start doing reload offers?

The same as above really – but I do read about those who think it is the end of the road once they finish the sign ups. This could not be further from the truth. There are bookies that I haven’t even signed up for yet as I am making such consistent profits from reloads.

Finally some quick fire questions...
