Date of Interview:

Sunday 4th July 2021

What's your name and where are you from?

Josh, based in Manchester, originally from Portugal

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 31, married and I’ve got a 3 year old daughter. I’m a nurse and recently left my job in hospital. This is when I started my Match Betting. I now work in an office 9-5 which gets in the way of the EP’s.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

Exactly 111 days today.

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I first heard of MB last year on an advert on facebook. I joined the group but couldn’t understand a word of what was being said. I realised that it seemed something genuine but I didn’t have the time to go for it, so waited for the right time and signed up properly with Profit Accumulator.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

I placed the odd 5 or tenner in the past, but never been a fan of gambling. Loosing 5 quid for me would be too much. I know a bit about football, don’t really follow it, horses was something that I had to learn from scratch.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I realise that I adapted to MB easier than some people. I think having good math foundation helps. And I think that some people will struggle with the concept. When I try to explain to some people what I do they don’t get the concept.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

I’ve put around 2000 pound into it, money was sitting in the bank and needless to say MB pays a lot more interest. You can start with a lot less though.

(Member Scott started with just £80 and turned that into over £2300 in 3 months. Member and mum Lora also started with £80 and turned that into over £2K profit too!)

How much profit have you made so far?

5370 pounds today. I reached the 5 k threshold at day 105 I believe.

Have you bought anything nice? Or are you saving up for something special?

Not putting aside no, but it builds up in the bank account and the dream would be to buy an investment house with the money from MB. Hopefully this time next year.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

I try to explain it but my mum keeps saying that I will have the police knocking on my door one day as this amount of money surely is not legal. Mum’s talk.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

Everything is put down. Those 90p from spin-insurance. Everything goes on the record.

This is my PA Profit Tracker graph.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

I would say about an hour a day. BBL is done on the train to work. I keep an eye on the odds boost thread, that will mean an easy 2 quid for 2 min job. It all adds up in the end. Saturdays normally is until ITV races are done, so pretty much a whole day job. My mother in law always tells me after I have my breakfast “right is time to go to work”.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

BBL has got to be the best offer out there at the moment. Between FB and BOGs I must have earned over 500 quid from Coral alone. I do the odd EP and tried my luck with 2ups during the euros with bigger stakes. They are not by far my best earners though. Horses refunds are the way to go for me, although recent gubs have changed this recently. DD/HH is a good earner too, I seem to get those right quite often.

(Glossary of terms and links to relevant guides available at end of the article)

How have you found PA's services so far? What aspects do you like the most?

You simply can’t do it without PA. Everything is there, step by step. The calculators I mean... can we stop for a second and appreciate how awesome they are?! The oddsmatcher…by far the best investment I’ve ever done (and yes, that includes my degree).

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Follow the steps, take it easy, don’t try to run before you can walk! There is some good match bettors out there, and it seems sometimes that they are the ones that get visibility in the group (I mean, everyone wants to know about the big earnings). You will get there, but do the basics boring stuff first.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

I get it, I thought it too. But it does work!

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Take it easy and slow. And change the oddsmatcher to 3 days, so annoying when your bankroll is low and you putting your first qualifying bet that will only resolve in 7 days!

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who's just about to start doing reload offers?

Follow Andy Cooper’s posts and the forum. The hard work is done for you.

Finally some quick-fire questions...

Football or Horse Racing?
Horses all the way, but I’m hoping that 2 ups will start treat me better now

Forum or Facebook?
Both

Betfair or Smarkets?
Smarkets

...and a word or short phrase to sum up how you feel about Matched Betting with PA?

MB is the first hobby where I make money instead of spending it!
