What's your name and where are you from?

Matt from Ossett, near Wakefield, in West Yorkshire.

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 48, married to Sarah and have 2 kids; Isabella and Edwyn. I work full time as a Planner for a major audio equipment manufacturer.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

Since January of this year

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

Yes, very clearly. I was catching up on Facebook one night and there was a post from Sam popped up. I’d been on a bad run with my currency trading and was open to potential new ideas for earning some extra cash.

I showed Sarah for a second opinion and we both agreed it was well worth a try.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

Yes, I love sports and made occasional bets before, but nothing major like I am doing now!

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

The free trial and video tutorials really helped me grasp the concepts easily and progress on my learning path.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

Only about £50 or so. I invested another £250 after my first couple of sign ups after the trial, as I soon realised my returns would grow more quickly with the extra bankroll.

How much profit have you made so far?

I recently passed the £10,000 profit mark and have to pinch myself at what a great decision it was to go ahead with the free trial!

Have you bought anything nice? Or are you saving up for something special?

We’ve been able to have a few bonus family weekends away and make some much needed home improvements. We also booked an all inclusive family holiday which we had to move to next year due to COVID restrictions.

Our main aim is to get over to the States to see relatives and visit Disneyland within the next 2-3 years.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

Sarah is also a member and understands. My mates say they follow, but are too stuck in the mud to be convinced it isn’t a scam and try!

We were away with a group of friends last week and they couldn’t believe my earnings and are going to do the free trial.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I have my matched betting accounts book and log each bet. I then use the profit tracker to register my weekly profits every Sunday.

I update my bank balances every month or two so I don’t forget where all the money is!

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your offers?

Saturday mornings are heaven for a matched bettor! I spend about 3-4 hrs on a Saturday usually, with 1-2 hrs most other days, on average. I took some time off for my birthday, which coincided with Cheltenham and can safely say I will be doing the same again next year!

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

Money back if, bet & gets and Acca insurance are probably my main earners now. I’m getting more into EPs as I can see the potential, it’s just having the time to do it properly. My favourites are the money back 2nd 3rd or 4th and spins & horses offers.

How have you found PA's services so far? What are your favourite features?

Fantastic – the oddsmatcher and extra place catcher are invaluable, daily use tools. The forum is a great support, for example, for the daily extra place race listings and boost threads. The regularly updated offers help keep things ticking over nicely. All this and not even mentioning the Facebook group!

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Go for it!

You have absolutely nothing to lose trying the free trial!

Stick with the basics first, utilise the great videos and support available and gradually build up as you get more confident.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Take everything slowly and a step at a time and double check your bets before submitting!

Inevitably, you will make mistakes, as we all have, but doing things this way will ensure they are minimised.

What advice and tips would you give to a PA member who’s just about to start doing reload offers?

Don’t take every offer going and use low stakes to begin with, gradually increasing over time.

I have lost some of my favourite accounts getting ahead of myself and betting too much too quickly.

Finally some quick-fire questions...

Forum or Facebook?

Betfair or Smarkets?

Sports or Casino?

...and finally, a word or short phrase to sum up how you feel about Matched Betting with PA?

One heck of a fantastic and fruitful journey that I don’t want to end 😁
