What's your name and where are you from?

Al, St Helens

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m 35, married with 1 fur baby(dog) Molly. I work full time for a large travel firm, managing a client resolution department. This ties in to my love for travel and Sport. I’m an especially big Rugby fan, both codes, and played rugby for nearly 30 years. One of the highlights of this combined passion was travelling to Australia and seeing Sate of Origin match and Rugby League world cup final.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

4.5 years

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

A friend I work with was talking about it, I thought no way this can be legit, if it was doable to make risk free money out of betting everyone would be doing it. I was saving for my wedding and could do with the extra cash so I took a chance and did the PA trial, after the first 2 offers I’d signed up to PA.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

I was a regular gambler making punts on anything I fancied. I like to think I know a lot about all sports but its sport so nothing is ever a sure thing.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I thought it as quite simple to get to grips with the methods. Once you understand how your bets are covered and where, it clicked in to place for me.

Can you remember what your starting bankroll (or cash float) was?

This is a 2-part answer.

1. I committed to £100 doing the 2 trial offers, this was the ‘risk’ I was willing to take. If I lost it so be it.

2. Once I saw that it really was risk free, I committed to using what it took to cover the bets I had on, I had a fair amount in the bank due to the wedding fund. (thank god my now wife trusted me).

How much money have you made so far?

I lost my first 2 years profit spreadsheet but I know I aimed for around £1000 a month the first few years and hit that pretty much none stop. Profits and time commitment have reduced in the last 2.5 years but still cleared according to my profit tracker (excel sheet) close to £20k so id say £40-45k in total.

Have you bought anything nice with your profits? Or are you saving up for something special?

Match betting paid for the majority of my wedding and dream Honeymoon to Jamaica. Deposits to 2 cars, holidays to Bali, Dominican republic and Mauritius and countless home improvements and days/nights out.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

My wife is fully aware of what I do, doesn't understand it but is aware. Some friends have a knowledge of matched betting and some don’t get it and don’t ask.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I log all qualifying losses and the profit back however I don’t log what I’ve spent (deposits to place bets). Just do an audit every now an then.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

I have a quick look most weekdays to see if there is anything I can get on. If there are offers that take my fancy I’ll invest a bit more time. The weekend I will spend a little more time in the late morning early afternoon and get on everything I can.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now? Which offers do you feel are your best earners?

I really like the money back as cash offers on the horses with Sky Bet and Paddy Power, they are not massive earners but add a little fun back in to sports for me. Favourite earner is certainly Bet365 inplay offer.

How have you found PA's services so far? What aspects do you like the most?

PA services are great, the oddsmatcher is a god send, that and It gets me the 0% on Smarkets.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

Its natural to be wary of things you don’t understand take the time to understand it and you will realise it works then never look back

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Take your time and check your laying the right market if you are not using the integrated tools. Odds can be similar so don’t just look for numbers, look for your correct market
