What's your name and where are you from?

Scott from London

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m currently single (divorced 9 years, blessing in disguise not sure matched betting would be easy with a wife wanting me to do things around the home)

I was recently a transport manager for a local coach company but the pandemic has absolutely decimated the industry so i have recently been made redundant which has given me a lot of time for matched betting, but ive also set up my own Tachograph analysis company (so if any one needs any transport manager duties fulfilled in the PSV sector im your man, nothing wrong with a free plug right)

I have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls, the eldest girl has currently come to live with me full time (real daddies girl) and she loves to see the profit keep going up she’s always finding new ways of spending it, but she’s not too happy that the TV has some kind of sport on from morning til night.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

I joined very recently actually, my 1st matched bet was placed on the 21st September (2020)

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I first found a post on Facebook, and if i'm honest i didn't believe that this could actually work, so i spent the next couple of evenings reading about it and researching, i slowly felt comfortable that it wasn't a scam and my money wouldn't be at risk (mistakes aside), so i jumped straight in with the free trial and the next day signed up to platinum.

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

Unfortunately yes I did, I was a fairly regular gambler, betting on horses almost daily and football most weekends and the occasional flutter on other sports. Looking back now I wish I’d found this sooner as all the money I’ve given to the bookies over the years could have been saved.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

I won't lie, it was very daunting at 1st and I wasn't sure it was going to be for me, but after reading, reading, reading and reading some more it all started to fall in place, and once you become a platinum member the help from the videos and the training centre is invaluable and im now starting to place bets quicker than i ever thought I'd be able to.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

I started out with just £80, so it was a very slow start, but spending time at it and just constantly reinvesting my winnings and not withdrawing (unless to move to another bookie or back to the exchange) soon saw that expand to more than i ever thought it would in such a short time.

Can you tell us a bit about your Matched Betting journey so far?

I started out just like everybody else, nervous, confused and absolutely baffled by all the terminology like, QB, QL, EP, 2up, -EV, +EV etc. but with a few questions and a bit more reading and a few more tutorial videos it all started to come together and now its like 2nd nature to use the terms myself.

I started with the usual sign up offers like everybody does, and after about 5 weeks i ventured into corals BBL offer and that provided very profitable so i started getting into EP’s those were very hit and miss to start with as i didn't have a strategy, but now i find my profits increasing due to EP’s as istick to my guns when choosing my bets, I stick to £2 or less QL for every £20 stake (£10 each way) and the potential profit must be double my stake or more (£40 for every £20 stake). A lot of members talk about implied odds, backing outsiders or middle of field only etc. I personally found myself overthinking it too much when doing that so i came up with my strategy and so far it's working.

My favourite offer at the moment though without a doubt is 2up’s, keep the QL low keep your odds over 1.7 preferably 2 and enjoy the game, and hope for a FTA, i do keep an eye on the games (football fan anyway) and if i don't think the outcome is going to be in my favour once a team has gone 2up i will use the early payout calculator and cashout if it's worthwhile.

Just like everybody else i have made some mistakes along the way. I didn't understand wagering and jumped into a 100% deposit match on Casumo without realising it was cash 1st and 40x wagering needless to say i bustout early on that one, but on the other hand i made a profitable mistake on the football by laying the wrong match, thankfully both games went in my favour and boosted my profits by about £160.

How much money have you made so far?

So far my profit stands at £2631.66, hoping to make it past the 2.8k mark by the end of the weekend.

Have you bought anything nice with your profits? Or are you saving up for something special?

I haven't bought anything yet, however after the weekend i will be withdrawing 1k to pay for xmas, which is why i would like to get over the 2.8k mark as it will still leave me with £1800 to continue matched betting after the festive period.

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

I have told a couple of friends and my parents, my parents really don't understand it and think that I'm going to end up with an addiction and lose my house. The friends I have told think it sounds too much like hard work, but one of them is thinking of joining up himself.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

I’m not obsessive, I don't have spreadsheets etc for logging every detail, however i do log every loss and profit on the PA profit tracker, i just insert each bet and put in whether its a loss or profit and that does all the hard work for me. Once per week however I do tally up everything from all accounts to make sure the numbers are correct, so far so good.

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your Matched Betting?

Since being made redundant i have a lot more time on my hands so i tend to spend an hour or so in the morning looking for offers and planning out what i will be doing for the day, then coming back to the laptop throughout the day to keep an eye on the EP catcher to look for those EP’s and then of an evening i sit down and watch the football with the laptop and just place bets as i go, so i probably spend a few hours per day at the laptop, but physically MB is probably an hour per day.

How have you found PA's services so far? What aspects do you like the most?

All the tutorials are second to none, they are clear and concise and the videos that go along with them make everything so easy to follow.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

I understand how they are feeling, I too felt like that at the start, but it honestly isn't a scam it's just great maths, and it works. But on the same hand i still think its too good to be true, i mean how can i have made this much extra cash with my feet up watching the football, im sure im going to wake up soon and find its all been a dream.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Take your time, read, read, and read again, watch the videos 2 or 3 times, don't be swayed by peoples brags of what they have earned, most of the time people are posting this for people to see what is possible not actually to brag, but don't forget everyone works at their own pace some people have more time than others, some people may have been gubbed by more bookies than others and some have higher bank rolls.

Also don't turn your nose up at any offer no matter how small, if you only earn £1 from an offer just remember there is 352 days per year if you only get that offer half the year that's a steady £176 per year for a few moments “work”
