What's your name and where are you from?

Lisa, Cambridgeshire

Please can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I am married, 37 years old and have a 2.5 year old daughter.

I am a stay at home mum, but prior to becoming a parent I spent 20 years working in horse racing in Newmarket. I was a rider and a treadmill operative, for some big named trainers! I have a horse of my own (not a cheap hobby!) that I regularly compete on.

How long have you been a member of Profit Accumulator?

One year exactly!

Can you remember how you first heard about Matched Betting and what you initially thought about it? What convinced you to give it a go?

I had the promotional video pop up all the time in my Facebook news feed. I mentioned it to my husband and he was convinced it was a scam.

I was curious though, so I watched the video. I thought to myself, no, this isn’t a scam at all, it’s totally legit and I’m going to give it a go!

Had you ever placed a bet before Matched Betting? Did you know anything about sports at all?

Yes. I’d placed bets online, I already had a Betfair account, and in Bookmakers shops. I worked in racing, it’d be odd if I hadn’t ever had a bet!

Mostly I bet on the Grand National, but occasionally on other horses too. I know nothing about other sports so I stuck to horses.

How easy or difficult did you find it to learn Matched Betting?

To begin with I didn’t understand fully how it all balanced out, but I could see it was risk free. It took me about a month to get my head around how it actually worked, and probably another month or so for it to become second nature.

Accas were the hardest, but only because I thought they worked differently to how they do.

But, the basics made sense. Essentially I trusted the system and the guides to start with, referring back to them with every bet and lay. Until it clicked.

What was your starting bankroll (or cash float)?

Yes, £150. Which I made back in the first 4-6weeks.

How much profit have you made so far?

A little over £9000!

Check out Lisa's recent post in our Facebook Group:

Have you bought anything nice with your profit? Or are you saving up for something special?

Mostly my profits have given me a weekly “wage” so I haven’t had to return for work.

But it has also covered several entry fees for competitions on my own horse, a new rug for him, and nursery fees for a year for our daughter!

So I’ve not done too badly from it at all!

Do your family and friends understand how you have made the money?

Not really. They all know I do it, and they’re in awe of how much I’ve made, but they don’t really get it.

Are you a person that tracks everything or do you just roughly tot up your total profits every week or so?

Yes, I track everything and balance my books every week as a minimum. Because I take a wage every week from my profits I need to know what’s going in and what’s coming out!

How much time do you think you spend Matched Betting? When do you tend to do most of your offers?

When I first started and was a bit slower I probably spent 3-4hrs on it while my daughter napped, but once I got a bit slicker more like 1-2hrs a day.

Plus I’ll chuck the odd one on here and there while she’s awake as it literally takes me seconds now.

If I’m away on holiday, or out for the day I don’t stress about not being able to do it, I just make sure any free bets that are going to expire are on and leave it at that.

What kind of offers do you do to make money now?

I don’t do casino offers at all, the only exception being Ladbrokes Only Spins on Horses.

I do mostly bet and gets and price boosts. My favourite offer was racing price boosts on Betfair and Unibet, sadly gubbed by both now, but they were a really cute way of making a decent profit with zero effort.

I guess my favourite offer now is the Skybet football price boosts which are still available even after a free bet gubbing! Actually, I like the Betfred Pick Your Punts too! They’ve been really kind to me!

How have you found PA's services so far? What are your favourite features?

I found all the tutorial videos really helpful at the beginning. Now I use all the calculators, Oddsmatcher and forum the most.

I couldn’t be without them!

Makes Matched Betting so much quicker and easier.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of starting Matched Betting?

Do it!! Join the Facebook page and just read the posts. Get a feel for what it’s all about.

What would you say to people who think Matched Betting is a scam, gambling or too good to be true?

I’d say it’s not. But people have to be willing to look at it to realise for themselves. Folk are scared of the word betting sadly.

What advice and tips would you give to a new PA member who has just started Matched Betting?

Watch the videos, and watch them again. Follow the instructions to the letter. Again and again.

Ask questions on the Facebook page and the forums.

And finally, follow Andy Cooper. He is literally my Matched Betting God, my Day Husband as my actual husband refers to him as!!

Personally, I wouldn’t run through all the sign ups one after the other. I know it helps to increase your bank, but if you can, I’d pick half a dozen bookies, do the sign ups then concentrate on the reloads. I’ve lost a few bookies accounts simply due to inactivity after the initial sign up. Missed opportunities for profit!

What advice and tips would you give to a PA member who’s just about to start doing reload offers?

Focus on just a couple of bookies at a time. It gets super confusing trying to track too many accounts. Every time you lose an account, start again with a new one.

Finally some quick-fire questions...

Football or Horse Racing?

Horse Racing

Forum or Facebook?

Both

Betfair or Smarkets?

Smarkets

Sports or Casino?

Sports

...and finally, a word or short phrase to sum up how you feel about Matched Betting with PA?

Blooming Awesome!!
